History is not what happened. History is what was written down.

An interesting AIR app has been released in Beta for Google analytics.

From the author:

The Google Analytics Reporting suite is an Adobe AIR application that brings Google Analytics to the desktop. It uses it’s own custom API to interact with Google and nearly implements all features of Analytics.

You can even export the data to PDF, XLS (Excel) and XML.

Nice :)

  1. I like the sound of that. Got me thinking that it would be neat to have that sort of traffic and statistical data ‘pushed’ down to your desktop AIR app as it becomes available ,enabling you to watch ‘live’, ‘real-time’ updates graphically dislayed within the app. You could in a way, actually be watching the traffic run into, through, and out (hopefully not too quickly) of your site(s).

Would be nice if you could monitor your Coldfusion Web Server from a sleak little AIR app that hides nicely away in your task bar until called for, alerting you when necessary - able to generate reports in pdf/doc/xls/xml, etc.

Hey love the blog by the way. Looks great too.

  2. I think Mike Chambers has updated on his blog that the API is already in full swing.
I have been waiting for this API for sometime now and I’ll definitely try this now.
